It seemed like a pretty random tweet, and Rep. DeSantis didn’t dismiss it. It made us all wonder…is something up?
YEP! DeSantis is jumping in the Florida governor’s race! He made the announcement Friday.
“As somebody who is a military officer, Iraq veteran, a proven conservative, and then with the support of the president, I’m in a position to exercise the leadership that can build on the great work that Governor Rick Scott has done,” DeSantis said on “Fox & Friends.”

On one hand, I’ll sorely miss him representing me in Congress. On the other hand, I think he’d be the greatest thing to happen to Florida since sliced bread.
“I’ve been someone who has a proven track record in leading in Congress,” DeSantis said. “If you work hard and you do good things, I think people tend to notice that.”
He’s right. That’s why he’s experienced so much success. He’s earned the respect of many– not just his constituents.
