These conversations are happening all over the world, obviously, and rightly so. The important thing is that they continue to happen in forums like that one – face to face. Online discussions devolve so quickly, and it’s why things are more divisive now then they ever have been before.
Is there a fix for this? I have no idea. It’s one of those whole “the toothpaste can’t be put back into the tube” things, probably. But maintaining civil discussions and debates with Real Life People face to face is CRITICAL.

We are witnessing the creation of a new religion.
Woke are the true believers.
PC are those who follow to avoid the consequences.
The irony is that actual religions can avoid obvious falsification.
Political correctness was intended to foster tolerance but like everything the left instigates, it got totally out of hand and ridiculous. It became vindictive and petty. Which is why wokeness emerged as a way to destroy people who don’t adopt the group think. It is the very opposite of tolerance and respect.
First of all, if these foreigners expect to be understood they need to learn to speak proper English.
Second, he is correct. The suppression of speech would be an unacceptable foreign concept if kids were actually taught about our Constitution and a little history about what happens in countries where free speech does not exist.
