It was a battle of gun versus ax and the victor was no surprise.
An off-duty Orange County police officer shot an ax-wielding man multiple times as he threatened to enter her home.
Orange County Sheriff John Mina said the deputy, who has not been named, was at home with her children in the city of Apopka when she noticed a man swinging an ax at her back door at around 5.30pm.
She immediately fired shots at the man using her department-issued weapon, according to Mina.
The brave and quick-thinking cop arrested the man. He is expected to survive his wounds. Thank goodness this man picked the home of a police officer. Without a gun, this woman and her children would’ve been defenseless, and God knows what would have happened.

It’s important to highlight all the stories where the good guys use guns to protect themselves against criminals. The liberal media is all too quick to report on accidental shootings and gun crime, but does not like to highlight and give attention to these cases of self-defense where a gun made all the difference.
