Warren Suggests Stopping “Racist Wall” at Border to Fight Coronavirus

So, Elizabeth Warren thinks the answer to stopping coronavirus from spreading throughout the United States is to open up our southern border.  For reals.

CNN’s Don Lemon outlined the current plan of the Trump administration to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the U.S. to include:

• Stopping non-citizens from entering the U.S. from China
• Screening entrants from infected areas
• Quarantining those infected
• Developing a vaccine

Lemon then asked, “Do you think that response is sufficient Senator?”

Warren answered, “No.”

And then two people clapped.

The main reason this response is not enough, of course, is simply because it is the response of the Trump administration.  If this were the response of the Obama administration, she would praise it as brilliant.

She is putting politics ahead of a potential national health crisis.  And, of course, she is going to release a plan.  She always has a “plan”.

“I am going to be introducing a plan tomorrow to take every dime that the president is now spending on his racist wall at our southern border and divert it to work on the coronavirus.”

Because, you know, walls are racist.  Enforcing national borders is racist.    The crowd went wild.  This is your Democratic Party in 2020.  This is serious and Warren’s response was not.  It was a petty one-liner that does nothing to solve the problem but does pander to the extreme position of the party’s base.
