Many Americans Conflating Corona Beer and Coronavirus

It’s official.  We now know what percentage of the American population is officially dumb.  That number is 38%.

So, don’t buy any stock in Corona right now.  Well, for that matter, don’t buy any stock in anything right now since the Dow is tanking day after day.

CNN Business reports:

Two surveys released this week show that the Corona’s brand is suffering from negative buzz.

5W Public Relations said that 38% of Americans wouldn’t buy Corona “under any circumstances” because of the outbreak, and another 14% said they wouldn’t order a Corona in public. The survey encompasses polling from 737 beer drinkers in the United States.

In another survey conducted by YouGov, the firm found consumers’ intent to purchase Corona fell to its lowest level in two years. The survey also showed that Corona’s buzz score, a metric that that measures favorability, has dropped significantly since the beginning of the year.

How checked out are these people?  If this problem was as simple as Corona Beer being bad, then we’d just take it off the shelves.  Too many people are spending way too much time watching Keeping Up with the Kardashians and Real Housewives.

I think I’ll do my part in combating this foolishness and ask my husband to pick up a six-pack of Coronas tonight.
