According to this, President Trump has decided to keep James Comey as head of the FBI. Comey was originally appointed by former President Obama (I still squee every time I write that) in 2013 . His 10-year term expires in 2023.

I’m still not particularly sure how I feel about that. I lost a lot of respect for Comey after July 5, 2016– the day he announced the FBI wouldn’t recommend any charges against Hillary Clinton despite the loads and loads of evidence of wrongdoing. I don’t think I’ll ever understand that. But then 11 days before the election, Comey announced that the FBI was reopening the investigation after discovering the “existence of emails that appear[ed] to be pertinent to the investigation.” Democrats were ticked. Republicans cheered. Nothing came of it, though. No indictment.
What do you think of Trump’s decision? Good move? Bad move?
