This did my heart good to see this morning.
After watching so many feckless and feeble authority figures caving to protesters that range from obnoxiously whiny to legitimately dangerous – and even holding up these unruly crowds a paragons of virtue for society – I needed to be reminded that there was a time when administrations had a spine and knew how to stand up to unreasonable demands.
Like when Ronald Reagan (as Governor of California and as POTUS) knew when a list of demands – as well as the people presenting them – was not worth his time.

I don’t need a carbon copy of Reagan as president. But it would be nice to see something like this in the White House again. Shoot, I’d take seeing it on a college campus.
