Here Is Reason #572,781,468 That Liberal Feminists Are Ridiculous.

Ashley Judd is very fond of wearing shirts that say “This Is What A Feminist Looks Like.” You may have noticed this.

Yeah. She’s loud and proud, as they say.

Which is why it shouldn’t have come as any surprise that she’d be one of those people who is offended by really stupid stuff. Feminists are one of the most easily offended bunch of women EVER. They’re the women who complain about men holding doors open for them. BECAUSE HOW DARE THOSE INSENSITIVE MEN DO SOMETHING SO RUDE.

Ashley’s latest outrage? “Everyday Sexism” – which is apparently a Twitter hashtag she’s trying to bring awareness to.  Someone tweeted to, I’m guessing here, the sports announcers for the Olympics, and Ashley retweeted that message to her followers.  BEHOLD:

So, see how the chick with the cat profile picture chimed in to bring some levity?  That person is clearly a NORMAL, RATIONAL HUMAN BEING.   Which is why Ashley responded in an abnormal, irrational way.  “We can do this to ourselves, within our circles where we want to; it’s condescening(sic)/infantilizing from society.”  She actually said that.  It’s right there in that screengrab.  She’s Actually Using the “I can call my family crazy but don’t you dare” logic to let us all know that women are perfectly entitled to refer to themselves and each other as “girls all they want, but when “society” does it, it MUST mean that society’s intentions are evil and cruel and meant to insult.  Obviously.

And it got better.  One of her followers sent Ashley her own example of this “Everyday Sexism.”  And Ashley jumped in to enthusiastically empathize:

Seriously?  Someone was mad that she got called “Miss” at a pharmacy.  Is there even a “Miss” equivalent for boys?  Or is the lack of that equivalent what they’re offended by in the first place?

I find it far more offensive to be called “Ma’am” by ANYONE, because I am not NEARLY mature enough to be a ma’am, and odds are good that I never will be.  I simply cannot fathom being offended at someone referring to me as “Miss.”  How miserable of a person ARE YOU if this is what sets you off?

Then again, Daisy and I named our site Chicks on the Right.  So it’s probably fairly obvious that we don’t buy into all this useless, pointless outrage over harmless words that wacky liberal feminist weirdos like Ashley find to be so devastatingly insulting.

And it’s this kind of stuff that makes me laugh at feminists.  They are so busy being offended by everything that it seems they can barely get any enjoyment out of life.  They are positively hypervigilant about searching for things to be offended by.  Remember when I had that online spat with the chick (YES, CHICK!) from salon.com about “benevolent sexism?” Ah.  Good times.   First there was benevolent sexism and now there’s everyday sexism.

These women are just plain ridiculous.  Guys – you can open a door for me anytime you want.  And I’m delighted if you call me “Miss” or carry heavy boxes for me or let me in on my side of the car first.  All of that stuff totally gives me the glees.  There is absolutely nothing wrong with a little chivalry.
