In case you were wondering, ABC News is a giant fun sucker.
Watch:
@abcworldnews Dramatic video shows the Navy’s famous Blue Angels making a low-altitude flyover over Pensacola Beach, Florida – sending umbrellas, tents, and chairs flying across the sand as beachgoers watched the jets roar overhead. Gio Benitez has details.

I’m sorry, but I laughed when David Muir said it was a “terrifying flyover,” meanwhile the crowd is losing it.

Yeah, that guy looks super scared to me.
I’m sure David Muir also thinks people screaming on a roller coaster are terrified. Those noises are the sound of thrill and excitement, sir. Ever heard children roughhouse with their dad? Same concept.
Luckily, the pilots will not be punished for the stunt.
@abc7la (7/17/26) No one from the U.S. Navy’s elite #BlueAngels flight demonstration squadron will be reprimanded or face punishment after a low-altitude pass on #PensacolaBeach on Wednesday morning, acting Secretary of the Navy Hung Cao said.

“That’s the sound of freedom” IS RIGHT.
This bystander video from the incident is also pretty great:
@justadadlegacypowerwash The lowest jet I have ever seen!!!!!

I think I just felt my patriotism skyrocket 1,000%. The only thing that makes me mad about this situation is that I wasn’t there.
