Trump Has Some Major Voting Day Changes He’d Like To Make

I think we can all agree that our voting system is borked.  Especially once Covid happened and we decided that mail in drop boxes were a good idea (they weren’t), and then just never got rid of them.  On top of that, we have all the issues with machines “going down” on election day, mail in ballots getting “lost,” people receiving multiple ballots, drop off boxes getting set on fire, and a plethora of other issues that cause voting to be a hot mess.  On top of all of it, some states take days to count their votes.  Florida had their results in just a few hours.  It’s not that hard.  Unless you’re trying to hide something.  Looking at you, California.

Trump has some ideas to help make elections a bit more free and fair.  You know, how the Founding Fathers intended it.  He wants to make it paper ballots with watermarks, one day of voting, and voter ID would be required.

I have to say, I do love the early voting option.  But I am not opposed to having election day be the only day to vote, as long as it’s a national holiday.  Yes, lines will be crazy, but if I have the whole day off work, then I actually have time to go wait in line.  I kind of love this idea.  Please discuss in the comments because I would love to hear other viewpoints!
