New CDC director, who dis?
Trump is on a roll with his cabinet picks, selecting Rep. Dave Weldon (R-FL) to oversee everyone’s favorite institution—the good ole’ Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Now, I don’t know about you, but after 2020, just hearing the phrase “The CDC recommends…” makes me want to barf in my mouth. But with new leadership, maybe there is some hope after all.
Admittedly, I don’t know anything about Dave Weldon, but RFK Jr. seems pleased with the pick—and RFK Jr. I like.
Congratulations Dr. Dave Weldon on your nomination as Director of CDC. Dr. Weldon is a 40-year medical doctor, Congressman, and Army veteran. Dave's leadership at CDC will bring the truth and transparency needed to restore the public's confidence in this institution. Welcome… pic.twitter.com/hu8bHdSqKa

I know a lot of Americans could really go for some transparency right about now. I’ve lost a lot of trust in the medical community, and I truly hope with some changes it can be regained. Cheers to the next four years!
