Are We Sure Tim Walz Was A Football Coach?

It’s no secret that Tim Walz is an idiot.  But he Tweeted something so dumb the other day that even I was shocked.  This man claims that he was a high school football coach.  That was one of the first things said to me by a Liberal friend when Walz was chosen as Kamala’s running mate.  That conversation went something along the lines of this: “So Walz is a pretty great pick.  I mean, he’s a family man, life long military service, a teacher, and a football coach.” I then went on a 5-minute rant about how terrible of a human he is, how all of his policies in Minnesota were the worst, and how he let Minneapolis burn for weeks.  The conversation ended pretty abruptly after that.  But the point of the story is not that my friend could make smarter, better informed decisions about voting, because she could, but that one of the things Liberals tout about him is that he was this great, midwestern dad who coached a high school football team.  Like he’s the next Eric Taylor or something. 

The thing is, I am not convinced this man has ever even watched a game of football let alone coached it.  In a post on X, that has since been deleted, he said that “AOC can run a mean pick 6 – and I can call an audible on a play.” 

Here’s the thing though, you don’t “run” a pick 6.  It’s not a play that you call.  It’s something that happens when the defense intercepts a pass and they run it into the endzone.  My Nittany Lions had one on Saturday and it was a thing of beauty! You would think a football coach would know that.  I know this because I, unlike Tim Walz, actually watch football.  He received sooooo much pushback for this comment that he ended up deleting the post.  Embarrassing.  Just for fun, let’s watch JD Vance troll him, shall we?
