My favorite governor is at it again!
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis had stern words for those who might be tempted to take advantage of victims in the wake of Hurricane Milton.
“I’m warning you, don’t do that. If you loot, you will be held accountable. If you’re doing things that violate the law, if you’re gonna try to take advantage of vulnerable people, we’re going to throw the book at you,” DeSantis said. “We even had some jackass, chain a dog to a pole. As the storm was coming Florida Highway Patrol rescued the dog.”
First off, what kind of disgusting excuse for a human being chains a dog up before a huge storm?! I am so glad the Florida Highway Patrol saved the animal.
Second, yes x100 to the threat of legal action to looters. Anyone who seeks to take advantage of the chaos should be annihilated legally, and I am so glad DeSantis issued this warning. He’s the type of leader who will follow through on this threat—so I hope any deadbeats who might be considering robbing others will think twice.
