Attendees at the RNC were given a very rare gift on Wednesday evening—the opportunity to hear a WWII veteran speak.
As time marches on, we are slowly losing these brave men who have so much wisdom to impart. And as our country becomes more and more divided, I cannot think of a better time to shut up and listen to what men like Sgt. William Pekrul have to say.

It’s easy to get cynical as we watch the obvious corruption in our government grow. But men like Sgt. Pekrul remind me to never give up—America will always be worth it.
Sgt. William Pekrul, a D-Day survivor and veteran of the Battle of the Bulge, told the crowd that he had once kissed the ground upon returning to the United States — and expressed his sorrow at what President Joe Biden and his administration had done to the nation he loved.
“There aren’t many of us still here, but for us – those of us who are still here, that America is still worth fighting for,” he said. “It hurts my heart to see what our current president and vice president have done to the country that I love so well.”
God bless this veteran for everything he has done. He defended our country during WWII and now again in 2024 through his wise words.
