Looks like Leonel Moreno’s squatting days are over—for now.
After a video went viral of Moreno encouraging other illegal immigrants to take advantage of squatting laws in the United States, ICE was apparently tipped off.

I’m not entirely sure why he’s yelling into the camera like that.
“Leonel Moreno is an unlawfully present citizen of Venezuela, who illegally entered the country April 23, 2022,” ICE said in a statement. “Moreno was placed into the ATD [Alternatives to Detention] program by Border Patrol and was told to report to Enforcement and Removal Operations office within 60 days of arriving at his destination.”
“Moreno did not report as required,” the statement continued. “On March 29, 2024, Moreno was arrested in Gahanna, Ohio by officers with ERO Detroit’s Columbus office and is currently detained pending further immigration proceedings.”
It’s great they arrested him and all—BUT WHY WAS HE ALLOWED TO BE HERE THAT LONG IN THE FIRST PLACE? And let’s be real…even if he is deported, the dude is probably going to come right back over because the border is wide open.
It’s infuriating enough to have masses of people entering our country unlawfully. But then to have them broadcasting ways to take advantage of Americans on top of it? Un-freaking-real.
Is it November yet?
