Tampa’s “Family Friendly” Pride Event Is Anything But Family Friendly

These Pride events are getting out of hand, but this one makes me a little angrier than normal. Probably because it’s my city, my Mayor (that I did not vote for), and my Sheriff (that I did vote for) that allowed this to happen. Shoutout to Gays Against Groomers for breaking this story, and for Florida’s Voice for being the only news media outlet covering it. Because heaven forbid a local news station cover it. For some reason we can’t call out the Mayor and Sheriff, even when they allow the complete disgracefulness that was Saturday.

Oh I’m sorry, but does that look very family friendly to you? Listen, I’m 32 and this is too inappropriate for me, let a lone a CHILD. And yet, not only did our Mayor and Sheriff attend, they both posted all about it on their social media accounts. However, they both very conveniently left out how inappropriate the parade was in their posts. I am disgusted that either of them would support this.

Gays Against Groomers made their voices heard and feelings known about the debauchery going on in our city. Shoutout to them for exposing this event, showing everyone what exactly was going on, and just how not family friendly this even really was.
