Catherine, The Princess of Wales, Announces Cancer Diagnosis

After being MIA for weeks and sparking countless conspiracy theories due to her absence, Princess Kate has made an announcement regarding her health.

My prayers are with Kate and her family. Princess or pleb, cancer is terrifying—especially when you have young children in the picture. On top of that, battling such a serious diagnosis in the public eye is something I doubt any sane person would want to do. The media is vicious enough when someone is healthy. No one should have to face that scrutiny while undergoing chemotherapy.

I hope her announcement is met with respect from the media, and that she is left alone to heal. Get well soon, Kate.
