Well, it’s been a while…

My studies have been keeping me busy, and I haven’t been able to escape to my “safe space” as much as I would have liked to this semester. Thankfully, I only have a week left to go, along with quite a few assignments, and then I’ll have a whole month to tune into how America’s sliding down the tubes…

Speaking of which… this lady made me giggle while scrolling through my feed this afternoon. There is a bit of “foul language” at the end of this video, but I think the evident stupidity is well worth your time:

If this doesn’t perfectly embody how deeply rooted our problems are, then I don’t know what does…

No one knows what they support, or why they support it. That used to be enough to discredit people and ideas, but now it seems like being “passionate” about something is all that matters. Ideas should have substance if they are expected to affect real “change” in the world, no matter what those ideas or desires for change aim to accomplish. The fact that we’ve moved so far away from those standards only makes it more evident we’ve got a lot of work to do.

Here we have a great example of why education matters, people… pick up a book, educate yourselves, and learn how to convey your thoughts and opinions in a way that, at the very least, demonstrates your intelligence, even if you fail to convince others of your position in the end.
