Due to the approaching winter and dwindling FREE resources for illegal immigrants, some migrants in Chicago are resorting to returning to their home countries.
Huh. I guess it’s not so bad there after all.
Chicago migrants are beginning to move back to Venezuela as the city runs out of resources to house and support illegal immigrants.
The Chicago Tribune reported on the account of Michael Castejon, who migrated with his wife and stepdaughter from Venezuela to find a better life. However, after several months, the family suffered from homelessness, a lack of job opportunities and no access to better education. By early November, they had requested tickets back to their home country.
“The American Dream doesn’t exist anymore,” Castejon said. “There’s nothing here for us.”
Sorry you came here illegally and weren’t handed the American Dream on a platter, sir. You can leave the mayor of Chicago a scathing Yelp review if you’d like.
Our economy is in the gutter. Americans are struggling. We simply do not have the capacity to provide for thousands of illegal immigrants.
This is why illegal immigration is wrong on so many levels. It’s a slap in the face to legal immigrants. It’s dangerous (hello, sleeping outside in frigid Chicago temperatures). And another small issue…WE CAN’T FREAKING AFFORD IT.
The United States is broke (looking at you, Zelenskyy). And it’s not the American taxpayers’ job to provide resources for someone who blatantly breaks our laws.
To make matters worse, 68,000 Chicago citizens are also experiencing homelessness.
…but who cares about them, right?
Some migrants suggested they had been misled to believe that they could be granted asylum immediately and perhaps receive a work permit. Others acknowledged the sheer number of illegal immigrants overwhelming the city has likely depleted resources.
“We didn’t know things would be this hard,” Castejon said. “I thought the process was faster.”
Well, you know what happens when you assume…
This is why sanctuary cities are such a bad idea. It’s like a neon sign that says, “Break the law, get a prize.” Except the prize in this scenario is homelessness and freezing temps.
As our wonderful Vice President would say, “Do not come.”

Those people should have never brought their butts here in the first place.
Zelenskyy isn’t to blame for our lack of money. Heck, we crossed $30T debt before the Ukraine war even started.
