A Native American Group Is Suing The Washington Commanders For Changing Their Name

Remember how the Washington Redskins changed their name to the Washington Commanders because white people were offended on behalf of the Native Americans? Well guess what? The Native American Guardians Association (NAGA) has filed a federal lawsuit stating that the organization is suppressing Native American history. HAHAHA

Part of the lawsuit stated, “Commanders is a fitting name for oppressors.” Isn’t it hilarious when the liberal left fights so hard to cancel something and it comes back to bite them in the butt? A little fun fact for you, the Redskins logo was a portrait of Chief John Two Guns White Calf of the Blackfoot tribe. He has been a symbol for the team since 1972. But Liberals, in their attempt to white wash the country, claimed it was “offensive” and fought to get the name and logo changed. But really, the most offensive act was removing Chief White Calf and erasing his legacy.

The complaint filed by the NAGA states, “The name ‘Redskins’ carries deep cultural, historical, and emotional significance, honoring the bravery, resilience, and warrior spirit associated with Native American culture.”

According to the complaint, the basis for the lawsuit is defamation, civil conspiracy and civil rights violations. However, a spokesperson for the Commanders has stated that the case has no merit and is prepared to fight the matter in court. It will definitely be interesting to see where this goes and how it all shakes out in court.
