August 31, 2023First of all, calling it X instead of Twitter is weird and I hate it. Secondly, seeing CNN get embarrassed like this is beautiful, and I love it. The official CNN Twitter page (X page?) was trying to push a narrative showing that Uganda is an anti-LGBT+ country. They published a story about how the country’s “anti-gay laws” are awful because these two men are possibly facing the death penalty because of erroneous charges of “aggravated homosexuality.” In reality, these two men are facing death charges for being awful humans. One raped a disabled man and another raped a child. Charging these men is not “anti-gay,” it’s necessary.
Isn’t it interesting how they kept the actual crimes of these men out of their headline? Because it doesn’t fit their agenda. In reality, these men are disgusting and deserve to be prosecuted. Not because their gay, because they took advantage of, and raped other humans. Come on, CNN. I know you’re a terrible news source, but do better.
