State Senator Joshua Miller Keys Car Over “Biden Sucks” Bumper Sticker

In this week’s episode of “98% of Elected Officials Suck,” we have Senator Joshua Miller of Rhode Island. Senator Miller apparently likes listening to Carrie Underwood songs a little too much—no, not the one where Jesus takes the wheel—the one where a crazy lady keys her ex’s car.

The Daily Wire reports:  

“In late June, state Sen. Joshua Miller was arrested for allegedly keying a man’s car that had a ‘Biden Sucks’ bumper sticker.

When Miller was first questioned by police, he claimed that the victim was possibly a ‘gun nut’ who knew that Miller was a state senator and that the victim made up the whole incident. So, in other words, Miller pulled a reverse ‘Do you know who I am?’ but a video review would appear to show he was lying.”

My favorite part of the video is the cop saying, “Why did you key his caaaah?”

Anyway—back to the story.

Politicians lie, we know this. So, that’s not the interesting part of this situation. The interesting part is how MINIMAL this dude’s punishment is.

“Now, he’s been ordered by a judge to pay $3,000 restitution to the victim after entering a no-contest plea deal this week. However, if he stays out of criminal trouble for the rest of the year — then the conviction will be scrubbed from his record,” the Daily Wire reported.

If this was a Republican senator, everyone would have heard about this story and the person would have been run out of office (as they should be). But because Miller is a Dem, he gets some finger wagging and a minimal fine.
