Y’all. He’s not actually anti-vaccine.
RFK Jr. just flipped the entire audience (and me) on his vaccination stance.

That means he can solve his biggest negative.
Oh, and he wants the free market to deal with climate change. Because it can.
Good luck debating him. https://t.co/cx4NaqFTe8
Ho. Lee. Crap.
So this was pretty enlightening for me. The fact that HHS was/is unable to show RFK Jr the studies/data on long term effects of vaccines on kids is pretty remarkable. And it seems to be a pretty reasonable stance – that vaccines should be studied for their long-term impacts before they’re REQUIRED or MANDATED.
RFK Jr is SUCH a wildcard right now. Yes – he’s running as a Democrat. But it is starting to feel like more folks on the right are supporting him than there are on the left. And if the DNC refuses to acknowledge him as a legitimate contender in the Democrat primary, there’s reason to think he might just run as an independent. And if he does, and Scott Adams is correct that Kennedy, as an environmentalist, doesn’t want government intervention in climate change, preferring that private industry deal with the issue, then he might just pull a WHOLE LOT of Republican voters, which will obviously not only impact Biden but the GOP nominee as well.
I’m fascinated by him. Clearly, he espouses many liberal policy ideas. But I can definitely see him being a choice for people who are complete sour on the idea of EITHER Biden OR Trump.
Thoughts?

I think RFK Jr. is going to give everybody running a challenge. He is a Democrat, he is closer to the 60-70 Democrats in his beliefs, back before the vast majority of Democrats went bat–it crazy.
As for the free market and companies doing whatever is the cheapest route when manufacturing, I think that is overblown. It is not in anyone’s interest to be destroying the environment for a short-term gain. We now have class action attorneys who will make any short-term “savings” from ignoring the environmental damage of their actions be offset by the amount they will have to pay for cleanup, and actual and punitive damages, etc.
Using covid 19 “vaccines” as an example, there is no way to know long term effects simply because they have not been in use for a long time. A number of concerns: rapid development, little testing, new technology, immunity from civil suit required for release, does not prevent infection, does not prevent infecting others, change of definition of the word vaccine to fit the products. So, my big question is what is the motivation? Why all the scare tactics to terrorize the cowardly? In Alaska the death rate attributed to covid was 17/100ths of 1% and that was likely beefed up by reporting a death as a covid death when the actual cause was something else.
The same is true of climate change. The science says that the last ice age ended about 21000 years ago (depending on some different estimates) and it has been warming since then with one brief cold spell that likely was caused by atmospheric dust from volcanic activity. 5000 years ago there was little glacial ice in Alaska. As the Mendenhall Glacier melts back stumps with roots in the ground are uncovered that were growing trees 6000 years ago. Do your homework. All that information is available if you look for it. In the 70’s it was the new ice age, in the 90’s it was global warming and now it is climate change. All pushed by the same people. Again, what is the motive? Homework assignment: the atmosphere is composed of 78% nitrogen an 21% oxygen leaving 1% of other gases. What portion of that is CO2 and what portion of the CO2 occurs naturally and what portion is generated by humankind.
I disagree somewhat with Kennedy on his free market stance. Businesses are all too happy to dump hazardous waste away in a way that is harmful to people just because it’s cheap for them. If there is money to be made in combating climate change, then I think Kennedy’s words are 100% accurate. But there are also special interest groups funded by big corporations that will seek to disprove or minimize the impact their pollution has on the environment.
