It seems conservatives may be gaining some ground in the culture wars.
According to a recent Gallup Poll, “More Americans this year (38%) say they are very conservative or conservative on social issues than said so in 2022 (33%) and 2021 (30%). At the same time, the percentage saying their social views are very liberal or liberal has dipped to 29% from 34% in each of the past two years, while the portion identifying as moderate (31%) remains near a third.”
Yay, more friends!
The poll also noted this is the highest number of reported social conservatives since 2012.
It’s rare to feel encouraged these days, but it’s nice to see a political shift may be coming. Apparently having the oval office re-enact “Weekend at Bernie’s” for the last two years has made people do some soul-searching, and I’m here for it.
Only time will tell if these newly baptized conservatives will stick to their guns at the polls when 2024 rolls around. But if Biden keeps falling both figuratively and literally on the world stage, I think we’ve got a fighting chance to see real growth.
