There are a number of things that Sam Brinton has allegedly done, one of which is getting his Department of Energy job mostly because he checked certain diversity boxes for the Biden Administration. He also allegedly stole luggage from the airport, and then allegedly did it again! I’m supposed to say allegedly, but you should know that there are pictures of him literally wearing the clothes that were in one of the pieces of luggage he allegedly stole. Those clothes and that luggage belonged to a Tanzanian fashion designer whose clothes are quite literally one-of-a-kind. She took to social media and posted pictures of him wearing clothes the clothes that were hers and which she says were in her stolen luggage. I know he’s nonbinary, but it takes some serious stones to wear a woman’s stolen clothes to big time public events.
My name is Asyakhamsin tanzanian fashion designer based in houston Texas USA 🇺🇸 I lost my bag 2018 in DCA recently I heard the news on @FoxNews about @sambrinton luggage issue surprisingly I found his images wore my custom made outfitswhich was in the lost bag on 2018 🥹 pic.twitter.com/lJwLHtMJlz

It is this particular luggage that is the reason he was arrested this week. Fashion designer Asyakhamsin’s luggage was stolen on March 9, 2018 from the Ronald Reagan Washington national Airport, which luggage her lawyer says contained “more than a dozen bespoke articles of clothing that she had designed, along with a number of other valuable items for there business.” It wasn’t until he made the news for a different luggage theft that Asyakhamsin connected the dots and found the pictures of him wearing her clothes. According to the Daily Wire, the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority said that airport police “executed a search warrant May 17 in Montgomery County, Maryland, in connection with allegations of stolen property in luggage from Reagan National Airport that was brought to the department’s attention in February 2023. With the assistance of Montgomery County Police, Samuel Otis Brinton, age 35, of Rockville, Maryland, was taken into custody Wednesday pending charges of Grand Larceny.”
In a statement, Asyakhamsin’s lawyer said,
“Asya Khamsin, with aid of counsel, provided to the MWAA images of Mr. Brinton wearing her bespoke designs and lost jewelry, along with comparison photos showing them on models and Asya Khamsin herself.
It is our understanding that the MWAA, in conjunction with the Montgomery County police, executed a search of Mr. Brinton’s residence on Wednesday morning (May 17), and recovered a number of items matching the descriptions and images provided by Asya Khamsin.
It is also our understanding that Mr. Brinton was arrested in the course of the search, presumably on the basis of the search results.
Can we take just a second to appreciate the fact that if the lawyer’s statement above is accurate, that means that Brinton kept stolen clothes so they could be found in a search he surely knew was coming. We all knew this was coming. It’s been all over social media and the news, so of course they were going to eventually make their way to his house to see if he really had the stolen clothes and luggage. If they did indeed recover items matching the descriptions and photos of the stolen clothes, then that means he was dumb enough not to get rid of them.

I just don’t understand how the general population cannot see the corruption of this party, this line of thought. I know there are corrupt and perverse politicians in every party, that’s just part of humanity and a risk of a sort, but they seem to take PRIDE in the people who are just… perverse (and I don’t just mean sexually).
You know why he didn’t get rid of the clothes? It wasn’t because he was stupid (though I am sure that is part of it). It is because he didn’t think he’d actually get prosecuted. The other two places basically slapped him on the wrist and said, “don’t do it again!”
And sadly, he’s probably right. The most that will come of this will be forcing him to return any stolen items that were discovered. In fact, I wouldn’t even bet on the “punishment” being that severe.
