The President of the United States, his entire administration, and the socio-political machine that backs them, have been focusing almost all their time, energy, and resources on their pet agendas. At the very top of their list of priorities are their climate agenda and their LGBTQ agenda. That’s what they care about most, and it shows in everything they do–and don’t do.
Meanwhile, China is pounding the pavement to create a super-alliance of basically all our enemies and a few other powerful countries. After an in-person meeting with Russia’s Putin, China and Russia announced a pact in which they declare a “new era” where they plan to eclipse the United States as a global superpower. They explained that the “friendship between the two States has no limits” and that “there are no ‘forbidden’ areas of cooperation.”
Then came the news that China had brokered a deal between Iran and Saudi Arabia, two nations which have long been hostile toward each other. Having those two nations in his alliance would certainly bring valuable resources to the table, as well as threaten the power of the U.S. And being the broker of the peace deal does wonders for a violent dictator’s global image.
Shortly thereafter, we became aware that Saudi Arabia was in the process of joining China’s super-alliance, and that Russia was ditching the dollar in favor of China’s Yuan, cutting the U.S. out of major global commerce.
Now we’re finding out that Brazil has struck a deal with China to likewise ditch the dollar as their standard currency for trade, basically cutting the U.S. out of another massive sector of global commerce.
But, you know, gotta force Uganda to prioritize the LGBTQ community! Because, priorities.

Russia is entering this pact with China not out of some sort 300 IQ international relations move, but because they are desperate. China will OWN Russia. Russia no more a threat to the U.S. than Laos is.
If history is to be believed it is not external pressures that destroy the greatest nations but internal as they become victims of their own success. The only thing that changes is the amount of time before the cycle repeats.
