March 29, 2023According to the sourcelink, the ever-growing number of hockey players who are pushing back against NHL’s “Pride Nights” and refusing to wear LGBTQIA++++++++++++ themed jerseys, is causing the league to “re-evaluate” such events.
This is a good thing, and good on the players who’ve refused on principle to be forced to show “pride” in something that warrants absolutely no pride whatsoever. If you feel pride over the specific genitals you prefer your genitals coming into contact with, you’re a crazy person. It’s just that simple.
Right now, every single team in the NHL holds “Pride Nights” – although some of the teams don’t require the players to wear themed jerseys. The commissioner of the League, Gary Bettman, told CTV News recently that players pushing back against pride jerseys is a relatively new phenomenon, and as such, it’s something that they will have to “evaluate in the off season” because some players “for a variety of reasons may not feel comfortable wearing the uniform as a form of endorsement.”

Pride is another hijacked word. Pride in positive accomplishments is one thing. Pride in being a sexual deviant is quite another. That is nothing to be proud of. Gay was once a happy word. It is no longer. The rainbow is a Biblical promise from God. Now it stands for the Godless, unless you consider satan as a god.
