Back in the day, as some of our long-time followers know, I was in HR. Recruiting, specifically. I sourced, screened, and interviewed potential applicants for jobs at the companies for whom I worked, and I enjoyed it. There’s something awesome about being able to call someone and tell them, “We’d like to make you an offer.” It’s the happy side of HR, which is why it appealed to me.
There is no way in hell I could do that job today. The diversity quotas, the woke focus – all of it is so COUNTER to making good hiring decisions. Hiring people should be about two things: qualifications for the job, and fit for the company. If a recruiter ever tries to sell you on the idea that recruiting is purely objective and that cultural fit doesn’t matter because it can’t legally be quantified, just know that they’re full of sh*t. OF COURSE it matters, and of course it’s subjective. And the best recruiters are those who understand their own company culture well enough to turn away potentially QUALIFIED people who would absolutely RUIN the work culture for existing employees.
You’re probably starting to realize why I could never work in HR today. 🙂
I can tell you right now that if I were hiring school teachers, for example, there wouldn’t be a nose-ringed, blue-haired, pronoun-obsessed person ever placed in a teaching position. Is that illegal? Yup. Would it result in better outcomes in schools? Yup.
So I saw a video yesterday of this non-binary blue haired weirdo complaining about people misgendering her at her new job. It would have taken me about 2 seconds to disqualify this person from being hired ANYWHERE, had I been the interviewer. Hiring someone like this is ASKING for workplace drama, resentment, hostility, and just unnecessary unproductive chaos.
Come at me. Tell me how bigoted I am and how non-inclusive I am or whatever other insult you wanna throw at me. The thing is, y’all know I’m right.
This rant is exactly why people like this just shouldn’t be hired. Problem solved. Sometimes a book can be judged by its cover. https://t.co/Uo6KSgliqW

ANYONE with a functioning brain could have predicted what the first day of work for this lunatic was going to be like. And is it the fault of the existing employees for “misgendering?” NO. Because all of this they/them/zir/zhe/etc/etc/ nonsense is nothing more than attention seeking idiocy that distracts from whatever important work the company is trying to get done.
So there’s an easy resolution. Stop hiring people who tell you their neo-pronouns right when you meet them. Stop hiring people who are so desperately trying to be non-conformist in their appearance that they now all are conforming to the same freaky blue-haired, pierced up androgynous look as everyone else suffering from this stupid social contagion. They’re making it incredibly easy to avoid them – so just do it. There’s no reason anyone should be accommodating this level of crazy.
There are legit trans people who would never make these kinds of demands on society. FTM or MTF people, (who I deeply sympathize with as it’s got to be excruciating to sincerely feel like you’ve been born in the wrong body), just want to live their lives as the opposite sex, with the associated opposite pronouns. No problem. I’m down.
But non-binary bullsh*t artists? Nope. Ain’t nobody got time for this social contagion ridiculousness. Go start your own companies. Stop making stupid demands on people who are simply trying to get their jobs done without drama. Stop foisting your crazy on others.
And to recruiters? Do what you can within the confines of the law to stop hiring these losers. They’re just going to create endless headaches for you.
Yeah. I said it. Someone has to.

We really need to stop promoting insanity. This person needs medical help. And I do not need to support their insanity by pretending it is not what it was born as. I am very thankful that I am retired and do not have to put up with this insanity anymore.
Actually judging someone who says they are “non-binary” to be incapable of doing the job is as easy as stating they have a poor grasp of the English language. That’s all the concept really is anyways.
The problem lies in that they’ve so heavily conflated grammatical gender with gender as a reference to sex that they can now claim sexual discrimination for something that has been all but completely divorced from it. They maintain man/woman as gender categories solely for this purpose and are even trying to co-opt the sex categories for the same reason.
Plus, how can she get any useful work done when she’s clearly obsessed with everyone else kowtowing to her ridiculous demands?
And she’s complaining from day one? Oh, that’s beautiful.
What self-inflicted hell some folks bring upon themselves.
But wait! She even wears a they/them pin! Sigh. If I wore a pin that said “World’s Greatest Lover,” that wouldn’t make it so, would it? All those “Best Dad” coffee mugs? Yeah, I’m guessing not everyone who owns one is necessarily the best dad.
We don’t have an epidemic of gender confused people, we have an epidemic of narcissists who have discovered a means to control others.
You mean those mugs are a LIE? Wow, next you’re going to claim Santa Claus isn’t real! 🙂
Might I suggest whatever that was gets a cat as they/them are destined to have a very lonely life as they/them age.
Poor cat!
Unfortunately, a lot of companies are just hiring damn near anyone who can fog a mirror. Not hiring them will probably result in lawsuits. It’s been so ingrained into the youth, and has permeated workforce protocol. I honestly don’t know how we’re going to walk this back very easily.
