Yale economics assistant professor Yusuke Narita has suggested that elderly Japanese people should just go ahead and kill themselves because it is the “only solution” to what the New York Times calls the “rapidly aging society” in Japan. The NYT explains that he justified his ridiculous statements by claiming that he’s “mainly addressing a growing effort to revamp Japan’s age-based hierarchies.” Are the very traditional Japanese elderly too socially powerful for radical woke leftists like this Yale professor? They just want these traditional old folks, with their traditional morals and values, to get themselves out of the way and quit being a burden on the younger, more woke generation of selfish victims?
Although the New York Times just published this article, it seems he made these suggestions a couple of years ago. In a news program in 2021, Narita said, “I feel like the only solution is pretty clear. In the end, isn’t it mass suicide and mass ‘seppuku’ of the elderly?”
If you are unfamiliar, seppuku was a ritual where samurai warriors who brought dishonor on themselves would commit suicide through ritual disembowelment. This Yale professor is literally suggesting that Japan’s aging population should disembowel themselves, as though their existence has somehow brought dishonor on the Japanese community?
Why do academics like this Yale associate professor have any social clout or public influence? Can we agree to end the positive assumptions surrounding Ivy League school names? Those names, like Yale, Harvard, Stanford, etc. now hold no social significance other than a label of woke indoctrination.

I’m convinced mass suicide of the “woke” would have a far greater benefit to society as a whole. It’d be like convincing the body that the cancer is indeed an invasive threat.
A trial balloon. When they actually start pushing to get rid of the undesirables, see Canada, the shock value of their actions will be gone.
Thank God for the 2nd Amendment.
