February 14, 2023In our home, “woke” is one of those dirty four-letter words that is a vile and disparaging insult intended to send an incredibly powerful message about a person’s lunacy and idiocy. But one thing it is not is a racial slur. It has nothing at all to do with race. But, to no one’s surprise, the woke Left want to cancel the term. They don’t like it and it’s become a powerful tool against them, so they’ve decided to try to convince people it’s actually a racial slur and therefore an inappropriate term to use at all. Of course. Just call it racist to ban it from society.
But this man, a self-proclaimed “classical blue-collar liberal,” explains exactly why “woke” is not a racial slur. It’s not about race. It’s about a virus of the mind. Seriously, read his whole post because it is spot on.
