In case you haven’t heard, there is a chick who currently goes by the name Eliza Bleu who has gained popularity on Twitter and elsewhere as a “Human Trafficking Survivor Advocate” (which is what her Twitter bio says). I started following her on Twitter several weeks ago when I heard her speaking in a Twitter Space one evening, because I found her to be compelling and it seemed like she had gained the esteem of Elon Musk and other folks I respect (Zuby, Ben Shapiro, Tim Pool, etc.). But honestly, I didn’t think much about her after I initially followed her. And I didn’t really pay attention to her tweets.
For the last couple of weeks though, I have seen her name EVERYWHERE. There are literally DUST CLOUDS OF DRAMA surrounding this woman, and y’all, Daisy and I have approximately this much interest in her or her drama.
Now, your mileage may, of course, vary. You might be a person who is OBSESSIVELY INTERESTED in this story, and lots of people we respect definitely are. They’re giving the story tons of coverage, and I see constant tweets about Eliza every single day in our timeline. It’s exhausting. But far be it for us to tell other people what they should or shouldn’t be interested in.
Unfortunately, there are Actual People out there who appear to think we have some sort of obligation to cover Eliza. They think that they SHOULD tell others (us, in this case) what we should or shouldn’t be interested in. It’s just the oddest thing to me. Like – I get when people are mad at us for things we SAY. But to be mad at us for what we ARE NOT SAYING?!? WTF.
Which brings me to why this post is part of our Wall of Shame.
I’m fine with folks making suggestions about stories to cover. Suggestions are welcome. Demands, however, or weird accusations? Nope. Not gonna have that. Y’all know I don’t like being told what to do.
Was my reply harsh? You bet it was. You don’t get to accuse me of stuff like that baselessly. LG decided that since Candace, Bryson Gray, Steven Crowder, and we had not given oxygen to this Eliza story, that we are all “hiding” or “trying to do a fake story” – whatever that means. And y’all – you know how I am. I’m not just gonna take that kind of accusation if I see it in our mentions. Which is why I responded the way I did.
Maybe as Eliza’s story “blows up” we’ll have more interest in it. I dunno. All I can tell you is that right now, WE DO NOT GIVE A CRAP.
But my answer didn’t go over well.

I mean, WHAT IN THE WORLD. I can’t recall another time where we’ve been called out for stuff we HAVEN’T talked about.
And LG wasn’t alone. It gets weirder still, because enter Evie.

All of her horrific grammar aside, I am WELL AWARE that Eliza is a hot topic right now. I get that her drama is a BIG DEAL to Evie and others. And they are more than welcome to devote hours and hours to the story. But to come after us for NOT WANTING ANY PART OF THAT DRAMA? WTF.
Evie just got madder and madder. I was away at lunch when she went on this diatribe, but caught up when I got home.

Well. That escalated quickly.
Now, I have absolutely no idea what Evie’s show is, whether or not she had a meltdown about us in it, etc. I have zero percent interest in what she chooses to do on her show, as I hoped I made clear in the above response to her.
I also replied to a few of her other comments.

Evie got madder.

And see that’s the thing. It wasn’t just someone “wondering why we weren’t covering” the Eliza story. It was an ACCUSATION that we were somehow doing something nefarious by NOT covering it. And I don’t take accusations like that without pushing back.
For those of you who have interest in the Eliza story, there are basically a zillion other places you can go down that rabbit hole. Search for her under any of the names she’s used in her colorful history – Eliza Bleu, Eliza Knows, Eliza Cuts, Eliza Siep -pick your Eliza and by all means, dig to your heart’s content.
We’re just not that into her. Sorry. #notsorry

I didn’t ever hear of her before The Quartering made about a million videos in the last week or so. Skipped every one of those video because I don’t care about her in the slightest.
The only reason I can see for people covering this is if they had her on their show, podcast, or somehow interviewed her and were duped by her story. I was duped by her on Twitter. I believed she was a child trafficking survivor who was devoted to ending child trafficking. I honestly didn’t care if she was once trafficked and survived it. I was more impressed by her work to combat it. It is definitely a noble cause. I don’t remember you two ever even mentioning her so I wouldn’t expect you to comment on her “scandal”.
The people freaking out about you not using your platform to further badmouth Eliza Bleu and Elon Musk are either lunatic liberals or are big supporters of the very obscure people who were banned for posting a provocative picture of her without her permission (and they have since been reinstated on Twitter). At worst, Elon Musk didn’t vet Bleu enough to know whether he should take her complaints seriously. That’s it. Waaaaaaaaaaaay too much drama over this chick.
Oops! I made a mistake…it wasn’t a provocative picture of her, it was videos.
…public videos that have been up for years and she explicitly consented to and doesn’t own (at least the Woldstar[?], world-something-or-other, one).
If you haven’t already, check out Jaco Booyens. He does a lot of work fighting trafficing. He is also on The News and Why It Matters frequently.
“You will care or we will destroy you!!!!!”
Jeebus, get a life. The Chicks are not required to “cover” the story because some bots on the ‘net (and it most likely is bots) says so. We need to ignore most of what is on the ‘net and make fun of most of the rest.
Except cat videos. Especially big cats in boxes, purring.
LOL I don’t know what he__ these people are so mad about. They must be new to the demanding the Chicks do something business.
Several years ago, in the dead of winter, I demand Chicks on the Right do an article about the sugar sand beaches of South Haven, MI. In case you were wondering, in the summers, I am still sitting on those same beaches with my free towel handouts to any college coed who may have left their towel at home business, waiting for someone from the Chicks on the Right to show up and interview me.
