I used to teach. It wasn’t that long ago (OK, about 11 years ago) when I left the classroom to focus on having two jobs instead of three at that particular time in my life. I had a lot of jobs, I needed to pare down, and teaching was the logical one to let go at that time. Don’t get me wrong – I loved it. But I was an Adjunct Professor at a university in Indianapolis, and for starters, the pay wasn’t very good. Plus, I could tell that if anyone found out that I was a Chick on the Right (and by then Miri and I had already started the business as a side gig), I would surely be fired. There is NO WAY I’d be hired as a professor now, based solely on my political affiliation. Crazy, isn’t it?
Let’s face it – the majority of professors these days are liberals. OUTWARDLY SO. When I taught, my students had no idea what my political affiliation was. You know why? That WASN’T MY FREAKING JOB. My job was to teach them how to communicate effectively in a business or technical setting. I kept politics completely out of my classroom.
Nowadays, English, Math, and science teachers – hell, even KINDERGARTEN teachers – find ways to incorporate progressive-liberal activism directly into their curriculum. It’s insanity, and it has no place in our public schools. It’s propaganda. It’s brainwashing. It’s corrupt, no matter how they try to rationalize or mainstream it.
Not according to this teacher, though, who believes that teaching IS, in fact, an “activist profession:”
This teacher explains that teaching “absolutely is an activist profession.” pic.twitter.com/SwDom7H8j0

Shame on every person who ever taught HER that. For real.
I’m so sick of this garbage, and as parents/grandparents, we all should be. Teaching is NOT activism. Period. And for crying out loud, what is up with the multi-colored hair and the stupid, oversized glasses, and the Mardi Gras beads? This doesn’t help. They all look like they just stepped out of a cartoon, and I can’t take any of them seriously.

Lovely Public Service Announcement with Reason # 147 for Home Schooling.
The look on this smug little brat’s face, makes me want to slap her, but that wouldn’t be very nice! What’s next, spreading leftist activism in daycare centers to babies in diapers and children being potty trained? My, we’ve come a long way from the little red schoolhouse.
