They’re all, “BUT INEQUITY! WAAAAH!!!” Listen – you absolute shrews – the inequity is in the number of dollars women’s sports can make in advertising, which is the lifeblood of sports. Advertisers pay for eyeballs. That’s how this works. When you have equal eyeballs, and equal demand for advertisers, and the sports bring in equal amounts of revenue, THEN you can demand the kind of pay equity you’re demanding. Until then? STOP EMBARRASSING WOMEN.

Yeah. Womens sports has never been as popular as men’s sports. And I wonder if that is why they are allowing biological men identifing as women to participate in Womens sports. To try and get more people to watch. And thus make more money?
I’m getting tired of the constant false equivalences being asserted here.
Just because sex, “gender,” race or whatever is correlated doesn’t make it causal. There are a myriad of other factors that easily account for these discrepancies.
For people who constantly say follow the science they sure don’t seem to know how to use the science to isolate the variable for which you are testing.
Economics 101:
How much do you have to raise ticket prices at a women’s soccer game to equal the total amount taken in at a men’s soccer game? How many fewer spectators will go to a women’s soccer game at that price? What advertisers will fork over the same amount of money to reach a much smaller audience? If you want equal pay, identify as a male and go play on a men’s team and see if your talent is “equal”.
