Over the weekend, there were a bunch of protests outside of Balenciaga stores in response to an ad campaign featuring children and bondage material. While the company *sort of* apologized that people found it offensive (basically a corporate non-apology to appease public outrage without admitting guilt), it’s still a pretty huge issue. So to make a point, this guy figured he’d show up to the store dressed in bondage paraphernalia and try to apply for a job at the company. But I guess they only appreciate bondage when it involves kids and their teddy bears because they wouldn’t even let this guy leave his resume.
The man acts sincere and explains that he’s there to drop off his resume. He lists some of his qualifications like being good with kids and cameras, a clear scoff at the bondage porn-like ad campaign featuring children, and that he watches “Keeping Up With The Kardashians,” a nod to the Kardashian family’s ties to Balenciaga and their hesitancy to condemn the disgusting child bondage ad campaign. But the whole thing is just a little too on the nose for this store manager, who has the job applicant and the person filming escorted from the store.
Upon exiting, he encounters a small protest outside the store and informed them that they wouldn’t give him a job. A woman with a megaphone explains that “you’re not young enough to be hired. You have to be a teddy bear or you have to be under the age of 10” for Balenciaga to be interested in you.

You have to admire that guy for trying.
