Um. Y’all?
You're in their DMs. We're in them.
— Tampax US (@Tampax) November 21, 2022
We are not the same.
Lemme see if I have this right. The “you’re” in Tampax’s tweet is referring, presumably, to men. The “their” and “them” refers to women, because WOMEN ARE THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO HAVE VAGINAS.
And the “we” refers to tampons. Right? So if I have this right, Tampax is bragging that they get to be in vaginas while dudes are just languishing in DMs.
K.
To Tampax’s credit, the jokes got better.

There was a lot of reaction.
You're? Is that men?
— J. Thomas (@RevFemStBeat) November 21, 2022
Who's them? Do you mean women?
In them? Do you mean inside a woman's vagina?
Are you implying that @Tampax is in a competition with men to get inside a woman's vagina? And are you also implying that men are losing?
1 more Question.
Are men tampons? https://t.co/csUOIQqztw
Tampax just sexualized period products.
— Kim Shasby Jones (@KimJonesICONS) November 22, 2022
A product preteens and teens need to use.
Sexualizing natural female functions every girl and woman must deal with is revolting.
Thanks for absolutely nothing.
🤮🤮🤮 https://t.co/UzavhtrRKq
And, Tampax has an Actual Dude in charge of “Feminine Care.”
This tweet makes a lot more sense once you know that this is P&G's "President of Feminine Care" that runs the Tampax business https://t.co/nb6dnaXcLP pic.twitter.com/JRzVJFAjKU

Look. I get it. Tampax understands that funny tweets have worked really well for Wendy’s, so they want in on the game. I’m just not certain that the DMs joke was as bloody funny as they’d hoped it would be.

Unless Hassan Ben Sober is a gynecologist, he has no business being in charge of that department.
Never attribute to malice, that which can be attributed to incompetence.
Swing and miss for Tampax.
Not even original for a Brit.
Prince Charles I just want to be Chamile’s tampon

OK. I know this shows how out of touch I am, but what are DMs?

And if there’s a joke in that ad could somebody please explain it to me?
Dungeon Masters?
Kidding it’s Direct Message, it’s short hand to describe even a text sent via your phone or any service that can send texts.
There’s not really a joke so much as a lot of sass intended in the statement.
It horribly misses the mark as I doubt there are many men that want to follow Tampax.
DM = Direct Messages or private messages
Remember the good old days when you couldn’t even show a woman in a bra on television? The bra had to be shown on a manikin. And no one discussed Aunt flo in real terms in mixed company?
Can we just go back to that?
