About 8 months ago, the account for popular satire site The Babylon Bee was suspended by Twitter for a joke naming transgender government official Rachel Levine as the publication’s “Man of the Year.” This joke was in response to USA Today non-satirically naming Rachel Levine, a biological man, one of their “Women of the Year.” But The Babylon Bee wasn’t allowed to call biologically male Rachel Levine a “man” on Twitter, so their account was locked until they deleted the offending tweet. But the refused to do so. They refused to bow to the woke mob and self-censor by deleting a tweet calling a biological male a man. Technically, this was not a suspension, rather their account was locked.
The Babylon Bee was tossed in Twitter jail 7 months ago for a joke that referred to an adult male as a man. We could have restored our account at any time by deleting the tweet, but we refused. It was the right call.

Never censor yourself, and never apologize for speaking truth.
And so, their account has remained locked, until today. Interestingly, some believe this particular account punishment is what gave Elon Musk the push he needed to take the necessary steps to purchase Twitter. He was shocked and disgusted at the satire site’s suspension, especially considering the joke that did it. In fact, Musk reached out to The Babylon Bee CEO Seth Dillon to confirm their account had been locked before posting a public poll about freedom of speech on Twitter, which seems to have gotten the ball rolling. But today, Elon announced the reinstatement of several accounts, notably including The Babylon Bee, Jordan Peterson, and Kathy Griffin.
Kathie Griffin, Jorden Peterson & Babylon Bee have been reinstated.

Trump decision has not yet been made.
We're back. Let that sink in.

I'm back. Thanks @elonmusk pic.twitter.com/MnWWNDACGD

Jordan Peterson, an outspoken conservative academic and commentator, had his account locked after posting multiple politically incorrect things that were deemed “hateful” by Leftist Twitter overlords. The final straw was when he spoke out about the gender transition surgery undergone by the actor now known by the name Elliot Page. In the tweet that got Peterson’s account locked, he referred to the actor by her former name, Ellen Page, which Twitter deemed so hateful that his account was locked until he would delete the tweet. He, like The Babylon Bee, refused to self-censor, thus his account continued to be locked. In fact, Dave Rubin was similarly locked out of Twitter for posting a screenshot of Jordan Peterson’s suspension-worthy tweet.
While Kathy Griffin is apparently unsuspended after being suspended for intentionally impersonating Elon Musk and posting to her page disingenuously, her account does not appear to be active right now.

I remember seeing an interview with Jordan where he claimed he’s not a conservative, just someone who speaks truth where he sees it. I think he didn’t like the label. Regardless, I like that he’s back.
There are a lot of not-Conservatives that the Right likes to claim as Conservative just because they smile at us occasionally. Elon, Trump, Peterson, Kanye (briefly)…
