Biden might not be doing anything to help with inflation, but Aldi is in their own way!
“Stores will discount Thanksgiving season grocery staples up to 30% to match pre-inflation prices of 2019 as part of the ‘Thanksgiving Price Rewind’ promotion,” WTHR reported.
I think this is a pretty cool idea. SURE, it’s probably a big ole’ PR ploy rather than genuine holiday benevolence—but personally I can’t wait for all deez (Aldi’s) discounts. This idea is smart capitalism at its finest and I’m here for it.
In a press release, the grocery store chain said discounted items would include “holiday favorites ranging from appetizers, desserts, sides and beverages.”
Whether or not wine is included in “beverages” is TBD. Although depending on how annoying your family is, that could easily be considered a holiday staple.
I wish we could turn back time to 2019 in general, but since that’s impossible, I’ll at least take some Trump-era pricing on food. #MissUTrumpster

I went shopping this morning at various stores. I used to come home with twice the items that I had on my list. Now I come home with half the items on my list. (1/2 of that because the shelf was empty, 1/2 of which I left on the shelf because I was disgusted with the price.)
I did stop at the local ALDI, but did not notice 2019 prices. Maybe closer to Thanksgiving?
