In yet another video showing Joe Biden having no idea what’s going on and making a super awkward “gaffe,” the President game a speech to a very small crowd, including a number of people standing behind him by saying, “God bless you all, and may God protect our troops. Thank you. I’m sorry.” It was weird that he said, “I’m sorry,” but he put the microphone down and the show must go on. Peppy music started to play as the President turned around and sort of just looked around. After 12 long seconds, Biden turns back around to the podium, picks up the microphone again, which itself is weird since there are microphones on the podium, so why does he need a mic to hold. He starts to explain that “I was apologizing to my back.” Whoever was in charge of the music realizes that the President is speaking again and kills the music. Then Biden goes on to explain that “my mother would be very angry, I was talking to people with my back to them. I apologize.”

Oh, honey. Bless your heart. They were behind you for optics. You weren’t talking to them, you were talking to the small crowd in front of you and the cameras. They were behind you holding signs and acting as props for your speech. Poor old Joe Biden has no idea what’s going on these days. But hey, at least he didn’t try to shake hands with the air or call out for a dead person in the crowd, right?
But he did do this, whatever this is. Grabbing her hand, rubbing her face, and then holding on to her for one whole minute.
