I’ve seen a lot of hypocritical headlines, infuriating headlines, stupid headlines, and manipulative headlines, but this is probably the most pathetic headline I’ve seen recently. It’s tragic, really. You can practically hear the disappointment and frustration in this headline: “Voters may care more about the cost of French fries than January 6 panel’s compelling evidence.”
Y’all, the people who are in trouble for the events at the Capitol on January 6th should certainly be punished for their crimes. Which are probably mostly trespassing related, if we’re being entirely honest. Does it deserve a year and a half of investigation by a special committee of lawmakers who have far more important things they should be doing for the American people? No. It doesn’t.
No one cares about what a few idiots did when they were let into the Capitol building. We certainly don’t care about it as much as the J6 committee or the mainstream media care. And if we care about investigating and prosecuting “riots,” I think most people would prefer we focus on basically the entire 2020 Summer of Riots, which caused billions of dollars worth of damage across the country, killed dozens of people, and injured dozens more. I suspect Americans would care about that more than the J6 committee’s “compelling evidence.”
Oh, and as for the “compelling evidence,” they’re always claiming they have some new bombshell evidence coming out that’s really going to rock people. But it never rocks people. Plus, people are painfully aware that there is compelling evidence that is very carefully NOT being included in the J6 hearings because it doesn’t fit the approved narrative. **Will the real Ray Epps please stand up?
What people care about is their lives. Right now, the Biden Administration has made their lives harder on a number of fronts, the most prominent and painful being economically. The cost of living and the price of goods is at historic highs, while the value of the dollar is at historic lows. People who have worked their entire lives are seeing their savings reduce in value every day. Families are struggling to pay their bills and feed their children. People are working multiple jobs just to make ends meet, which artificially inflates the jobs numbers to boost Biden’s numbers, but strains the lives of hardworking Americans.
And those same Americans are forced to watch as tens of billions of their tax dollars are sent overseas to finance a foreign proxy war. And they’re forced to watch as their representatives spend millions of taxpayer dollars and many months of effort on a politically motivated witch hunt that real Americans don’t even care about.
And the propagandists are devastated that people care more about being able to feed their families during Biden’s historically high inflation than they care about a few stupid J6 trespassers.

This is part and parcel of the Democrats’ contemporary strategy for holding on to power despite the devastation caused by their policies: “Don’t look at that! Look at THIS!” (“Do not look at the hooded figures in the dog park.” — Welcome to Night Vale) The cooperation of the media is essential to the success of this strategy…and that cooperation is beginning to fragment. Perhaps we shall soon see the curtain being drawn back, though I doubt anyone will like what we’ll see.
>And the propagandists…
Yes, propagandists, but-
>The J6 Investigation…the J6 committee…J6 committee’s…J6 hearings…J6 trespassers…January 6 panel
-you (and many others on “our side”) are still using their language which is cementing a minor riot as “a day that will live in infamy”. So the propaganda has worked.
But it IS a hearing… about January 6. It IS an investigation… in to the events of January 6. Like, there’s no other plausible way to factually describe what Congress is wasting their time on. That’s not propaganda, it’s just an accurate description.
“Riot”, “Capitol riot”, “riot in January”… There is a hundred ways to talk about it without granting the insane Left’s premise that it was some end of the world, unique, “insurrection”, when in reality, it was a minor riot that is no different than the hundreds that have happened before with the exception of it happening at their Cathedral.
