
The left has tried to paint any opposition to the hyper-sexualization of children in schools as a “right-wing moral panic.” Business Insider literally called it that– “a growing right-wing moral panic accusing teachers of sexualizing children.” This kind of rhetoric makes the whole issue sound like it’s a) an exclusively a right-wing issue specific to these MAGA extremists everyone’s talking about, and b) an unreasonable and unpopular stance to take.
But a new poll by Rasmussen Reports and Capitol Resource Institute of 1,000 U.S. Likely Voters, conducted Sept 20-21, 2022, shows that neither of these is the case. It’s neither exclusively right-wing, nor is it unpopular and unreasonable. It’s very much a bipartisan issue, has overwhelming majority support, and crosses racial demographics. The moral of the story is that you shouldn’t let the mainstream media trick you into thinking that something is just a “right-wing moral panic” in order to serve their radical leftist narrative.
