Charlie Crist Comms Director Posts Hilarious Pictures Of “Packed” Events, Only Shows A Few Dozen People

I get it that optics are almost as important as anything else in a political campaign. It’s just as much about what people think is real as what is actually real. And these pictures posted by Samantha Ramirez, the communications director for Florida Democrat gubernatorial candidate Charlie Crist, are just too hilarious not to share.

She says it’s a “packed house” for Crist in Lee County, and that Ft. Myers is “fired up.” Y’all, count how many people are in these pictures. Seriously. Click on the pictures and count the people.

I count maybe 30 people in the room in the first picture (could be a couple more that are hidden), and then I count about 50 in the second picture, including Crist and his staff. Y’all, if this is a “packed house,” then it must be a really tiny house. Now consider how many of those in the picture are either on Crist’s staff or are press covering the event (which is basically the same thing…)

I suspect they chose a venue that would look filled by the couple dozen attendees they expected, and then they used a wide angle to distort the image just a bit and make it look bigger. Real estate photographers do the same when photographing houses, in order to make the space appear larger than it actually is. There’s basically as many people here as DeSantis sent to Martha’s Vineyard.
