Can everyone just stop being stupid? That’d be great. Let’s start with you, AP, because you’re getting on my last freaking nerve with this nonsense:
Our style: Don't use the pronoun "she" in reference to nations, ships, storms or voice assistants except in direct quotations. Use "it" instead.

Are these people just sitting around in a room like, “what bullsh*t rule should we come up with today?” And why, exactly, can’t people refer to a ship as a “she?” That’s TRADITION.
Not calling a ship "she" is a slap in the face to centuries of nautical tradition. https://t.co/aHA1QOG2pp

Ooooooh – I forgot. Progressives hate tradition. And they hate women even more than tradition. Well, when they can figure out what a women is, anyway.
So other than "voice assistants" …your style is to stop the usage of a female pronoun to describe powerful things.

Yup.
They don’t want to empower women. They want to delete them.

NAILED IT.
These people are ridiculous and can’t be taken seriously.

Any “style guide” that doesn’t use the Oxford comma should be ignored, so I’ll keep ignoring the AP’s dumbassery.
Can’t have people realizing that pronouns don’t reference “gender identities” but simply words or more aptly grammatical categories.
I think the native Americans have it about right. Just make the descriptive word so long and unpronounceable that these SJW just shut up already.
