The sourcelink goes to a job posting for the Democratic Socialists of America for a People Services Coordinator. And it pays 52k annually, y’all.

Let’s do a quick thought exercise. How many socialist societies have resulted in a dictatorship?
The answer?
ALL OF THEM.
This is the painful truth that Democratic Socialists fail to recognize. But it’s the truth. When the means of production are community property, SOMEONE or MANY SOMEONES have to be put in charge of that property. So ask a Democratic Socialist how that would work, exactly. Hold them to specifics. Hugo Chavez was ELECTED, by the way. That’s how Democratic Socialist systems usually start out. Do we need to remind everyone what happened in Venezuela?
No matter how democratically the people in charge of a Democratic Socialist society come into power, if they direct and control the economy, and if they manage production and prices and basically all decisions centrally, instead of allowing private, decentralized entrepreneurs and free market loving individuals to respond to the needs of the market, then that means society ceases to remain democratic.
Tpday’s Democratic Socialists are no different than any socialist ever. They talk a good game – even in the job description above – about wanting equality and social justice and love and rainbows and puppies for everyone. But they literally have NO EXAMPLE of their policies ever working anywhere ever. There is no success story, and that’s because it’s NOT POSSIBLE to end in any other way than a full blown dictatorship.

Democratic socialism is an oxymoron, which explains why most of their members are morons.
It’s not oxymoronic- moronic, yes, and the inevitable result of democracy. That is why the Founders were so against democracy (Federalist 10) and Vlad Lenin was so for it. It is the unavoidable next steps that have the horrible consequences.
