August 16, 2022This is truly the pinnacle of mansplaining. I have so many issues with this that I barely even know where to start, so I’m just going to dive right in.
My first major issue is that “period dignity officer” is even a thing. My second major issue is that they chose a MAN for the stupid job.
Quite frankly, it’s diminutive, condescending, and sexist of them to think so little of women that they feel the need to appoint a MAN to dignify their periods. As though we and our biological reproductive processes somehow lack dignity unless it’s granted by a man who has been appointed to a position intended to bring dignity to our periods.
Seriously, who came up with this? Who said, “Women and their periods lack dignity to such an extent that we must now appoint someone to officially be in charge of the dignity of periods for this nation?” And why the heck did they think a MAN, who is biologically incapable of ever having a period, should be the one to fill the job? Despite the screeching of radical woke gender activists, this guy never has had and never will have a period, so who the heck is he to “dignify” periods for women?
According to SkyNews, the job description for the new “Period Dignity Regional Lead Officer” Mr. Jason Grant is “promoting access to free sanitary products in schools and colleges across the Tay region” and “includes discussing issues around the menopause.” Which is interesting, considering he has never and will never use a single sanitary product, nor will he ever go through menopause.
The whole thing is just so bizarre. I get it that their intent was to bring dignity to menstruation by ensuring all women have access to and education about sanitary products rather than just bleed all over themselves or sequester themselves in the house for a week like women used to do. But they MAJORLY missed the mark on this one. The road to hell is paved with good intentions, and this definitely added at least a few archaic and misogynistic cobblestones to that road.
Women have been mansplained to for centuries about uniquely female issues. How telling that we are in a time where women are either being entirely erased in the name of inclusivity or condescendingly placed under the purview of biological men to dignify our uniquely female biology.

If you think this is wacky, some time ago at a clinic in Scotland, a 60ish man was asked if he were pregnant. What the hell did this place do, confuse kilts with skirts?
Woohoo, men for the win again! If the nutters keep this up we really will get those dystopian futures they fantasize about, where women are only needed for one thing, two if you count making sandwiches.

Are there a lot of menopausal 20 year olds?
Given the hormonal therapies they seem to be trying to hand out like candy there might be an influx of menopausal 20 year olds in a few years.
The closest thing to menopausal 20 year olds are “trans-men” who’ve underwent hysterectomies as part of their “transitioning” after being brainwashed while in middle school or high school that they’re actually males trapped in female bodies.
I think the problem started when a whole nation decided it was ok and even mandatory for their men to wear dresses and then made it a thing of national pride. (Go house of Gordon.)

Dresses for men is extremely common in human history. Nothing wrong with the scots taking pride in their traditional clothing.

Being my Grandmother’s maiden name was Gordon and I take my middle name from my great grandfather, “George Gordon” which is a family name from as far back as I can tell, I am not against them. Although I have always wondered about the term “Gay Gordon” – see below. / Like now, I was just being sarcastic.
