Children’s Hospital Deletes Video, Changes Standards Following Backlash From Video Promoting “Gender Affirming Hysterectomies”

I just recently wrote about Boston Children’s Hospital “Gender Clinic” claiming that babies know they’re transgender “seemingly from the womb” and offering gender-related services to children as young as “2 and 3” years old. But it gets so much worse. Libs of TikTok posted a video by Boston Children’s Hospital promoting and explaining “gender affirming hysterectomies” which were, until very recently, offered to 17 year old girls.

I say “until very recently” because that age requirement only changed after the publication of an article written by Christina Buttons with the Post Millennial regarding the hospital offering full and medically unnecessary hysterectomies to minors. After the backlash from the article, they deleted a bunch of content– including the video in question– and updated their website with a new 18-year-old standard for “gender affirming hysterectomy” qualification.

It’s terrifying how cheerfully they are promoting the irreversible surgical and chemical mutilation of teenage bodies with still-developing brains.

Hilariously, PolitiFact labeled this Libs of TikTok tweet “False,” and their reasoning is just horrifyingly Orwellian. They wrote their “fact check” AFTER the hospital had changed their online guidelines to reflect the 18-year-old qualification rather than the 17-year-old minor age. Then PolitiFact cited that newly-updated website information to refute the fact that they were offering “gender-affirming hysterectomies” for minors. They also took issue with the Libs of TikTok descriptive label of “young girls,” because apparently 17 isn’t that young and so even if older teens are getting medically unnecessary hysterectomies, that isn’t “young girls.” They labeled the Libs of TikTok claim “False” even though it was entirely true just hours before, and certainly when the story broke.

In true Orwellian fashion, they rewrote history. “Every record has been destroyed or falsified, every book rewritten, every picture has been repainted, every statue and street building has been renamed, every date has been altered.” Every website updated and every inconvenient truth labeled false according to the newly rewritten history. Truly astounding and terrifying.
