August 9, 2022One of the most epic moments in mainstream media manipulation was when CNN ran a chyron explaining that the literal burning destruction behind a reporter wearing goggles and a gas mask was a “fiery but mostly peaceful protest.” Mostly peaceful, aside from the rampant arson, destruction, violence, and chaos.
The Left LOVES to manipulate language because by manipulating the words you are allowed to use or the meaning of the words you use, they can manipulate the meaning of events and your perception of those events.
Their latest “fiery but mostly peaceful” moment happened today when MSNBC host Symone D. Sanders-Townsend took to Twitter to say, “Please folks stop calling it a ‘raid.'”
This is, of course, in response to the news that the home of former President of the United States of America, Donald J. Trump, was raided by the FBI yesterday. But MSNBC doesn’t want you to call it a raid, because that makes it sound bad. It makes it sound really serious that the FBI got a Jeffrey Epstein lawyer-turned-Judge to sign off on a warrant for them to show up unannounced and go through a former President’s home in search of a few archive records he may have removed from the White House. It makes it sound like the FBI was weaponized by the leftist political establishment to target a political opponent who they feel is dangerous to them. It begs questions about why they haven’t raided Hillary Clinton’s house or Hunter Biden’s house.
Calling it a raid just makes it sound so bad. And they don’t want it to sound bad, because then it looks bad. And they don’t want it to look bad, because then it looks corrupt. And they don’t want it to look corrupt, because then it makes them look corrupt. And they can’t afford to prove conservatives right about the rampant corruption and weaponization of government institutions or the targeting of political opponents.
Instead of calling it a “raid,” why don’t you try calling it a “mostly peaceful incursion?”
