Pretty much everyone in this fractured country can agree on one thing: the media has lost the trust of the American people. That’s an objective truth that even the overtly leftist media can’t deny. Survey data show a historic low in the percentage of Americans who say that have “a great deal” or “quite a lot” of trust in news media, and for good reason. Check out CNN’s Brian Stelter hilariously mocking media companies for pretending they don’t push fake news. (I know, the lack of self-awareness is astounding, but not surprising.)
The mainstream media has spent at least the last few years doing their absolute best to prove that they are untrustworthy, unethical, and unobjective. But now, they’re irritated that conservatives “are increasingly shirking sit-down interviews, barring journalists from 2022 events, and skipping debates– an aversion to media scrutiny that could upend how the next presidential election cycle is covered.”
Y’all, this is almost comical, to be honest. I can barely believe the audacity of these people to be irritated about this.
Republicans "are increasingly shirking sit-down interviews, barring journalists from 2022 events, and skipping debates—an aversion to media scrutiny that could upend how the next presidential election cycle is covered," writes @charlottetklein https://t.co/sCndzbyQQQ

Do you know why conservative politicians are “increasingly shirking sit-down interviews?” It’s because when they do one, they are rewarded with manipulative editing, disingenuous teaser trailers, and significantly more difficult or inflammatory questions than their leftist political counterparts get asked during their sit-down interviews.
Why they are “barring journalists from 2022 events?” Because when the establishment media complex is invited, they end up misrepresenting the conservative speakers or content. Remember how journalists fabricated a national crisis about Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” bill by blatantly lying about the content and intent of the bill? That fake and disparaging story was all they would talk about when invited to any kind of event because they were determined to overshadow any conservative accomplishments with their totally fake and manipulative representation of a completely reasonable and nationally popular bill. This is actually a little funny because of what Gov. Ron DeSantis’ press secretary, Christina Pushaw, recently posted on Twitter after barring leftist journalists from attending the Sunshine Summit. She knows all the rules to their game and she’s not going to give them the satisfaction of playing, and they lost their minds about it.
It has come to my attention that some liberal media activists are mad because they aren't allowed into #SunshineSummit this weekend. My message to them is to try crying about it. Then go to kickboxing and have a margarita. And write the same hit piece you were gonna write anyway.

And after the complete mockery that leftist establishment media made of the 2020 presidential debates, it’s no wonder conservatives are skipping debates that they already know are rigged against them through moderators, questions, or subsequent coverage.
The leftist establishment media has shown that they are willing to manipulate information to fit a certain narrative or sway public opinion in favor of a certain agenda. This was common during COVID, where the media was careful to only include information that supported the authoritarian leftist COVID agenda and frequently published information in a way which they knew would lead people to make incorrect assumptions. For example, publishing the number of “COVID hospitalizations” while conveniently forgetting to mention that most of those were in the hospital for other issues and simply tested positive while there rather than being hospitalized specifically for COVID. And how about when they launched a massive media campaign to discredit ivermectin as a dangerous animal drug, all while conveniently forgetting to mention that it won a Nobel prize in medicine for being so incredibly safe, effective, versatile, and cheap for human use?
They’ve shown that they are willing to publish blatant lies, for which they have even won journalism awards. A prime example is the Pulitzer Prize-winning fake news about Trump-Russian collusion, which was proven to be a baseless story founded on fabricated evidence and supported by anonymous authorities. Yet journalists won Pulitzer Prizes for these now-discredited stories.
And do you remember when they pushed a totally fake story about gunshot victims in Oklahoma being forced to wait outside hospitals that were full of patients dying from ivermectin use? The story was completely fake, but that didn’t matter because it supported the authoritarian leftist COVID agenda.
They’ve shown they’re happy to completely ignore relevant stories (Hunter Biden’s Laptop, anyone?), downplay relevant stories (fiery but mostly-peaceful protests, anyone?) or hype stories that no one really cares about (J6 committee hearings, anyone?).
They’ve proven just how morally bankrupt and politically partisan they are, that they’re willing to abandon any semblance of integrity and ethics in favor of an approved narrative. Why would conservatives trust and include them? They call it “an aversion to media scrutiny” when it’s really just conservatives finally standing up for themselves and refusing to allow themselves to continue to be played for fools by hyper-partisan propagandists. It’s like accusing a domestic violence survivor of having “an aversion to family life” when they finally leave and sever contact with their abusive spouse. The lack of self-awareness is astounding.

The key is the word “journalists”. Actual reporters are welcome. I’m looking forward to a time when young people ask why its called Main Stream….and another teenager asks, stream of what? When they have faded until they are truly hardly around, as well as distrusted.
Yes, but I can hope.
I’m glad that Conservatives, Libertarians, and anyone with common sense is finally declining to participate in the farce that is the mainstream media. For far too long, they sat down, they answered the questions, they did the things, only to have things edited. It came down to the subject having to have their OWN recording to prove what really happened. Remember the 2A group? They edited in the silence from the sound test as an answer to a question to try and show that the 2A group had no answers to simple questions. When, in fact, they answered without hesitation. Their own recording showed this. About time people stopped even doing that. Don’t sit with them. Don’t give them the benefit of the doubt. CEASE helping them. They will right the same crap about you either way.
For an egregious illustrations of deliberate media manipulation to make a conservative look like a villain, consider this incident: https://spectator.org/41746_they-shoot-cats-dont-they/
>to completely ignore relevant stories (Hunter Biden’s Laptop, anyone?)
I would have went with the multiple assassination attempts against Republicans in the last few years- Steve Scalise, Rand Paul, Jeff Flake, Roger Williams, Chuck Fleischmann, Trent Kelly, Mo Brooks, Brad Wenstrup, Rodney Davis, Jeff Duncan, Jack Bergman, Mike Bishop and Joe Barton (the congressional baseball shooting), Brett Kavanaugh, and Lee Zelden
But everyone should distrust the media, everybody knows they lie and the vast majority ignore that fact. There is even a name for it-
“Briefly stated, the Gell-Mann Amnesia effect is as follows. You open the newspaper to an article on some subject you know well. In Murray’s case, physics. In mine, show business. You read the article and see the journalist has absolutely no understanding of either the facts or the issues. Often, the article is so wrong it actually presents the story backward—reversing cause and effect. I call these the “wet streets cause rain” stories. Paper’s full of them.
“In any case, you read with exasperation or amusement the multiple errors in a story, and then turn the page to national or international affairs, and read as if the rest of the newspaper was somehow more accurate about Palestine than the baloney you just read. You turn the page, and forget what you know.” -Michael Crichton
Or, they just claim that they are “local stories” such as the Gosnell case, and try and move on.
