Everything is so freaking dumb right now, so I don’t know why I continue to be surprised when I see crap like this.
According to the sourcelink, some chick who reports for BBC, Eilidh Barbour, was giving an update on the England women’s soccer team beating Norway. But it wasn’t the triumph she was focused on. BEHOLD:
I'm sorry, what? There's a problem with the England women's team in the #WEUROS2022 being too "white"? Which players should be dropped because they have the wrong skin colour?

Just extraordinary that a BBC presenter can say this and still be in her job!

So, not only is she apparently WRONG about the roster (which does, in fact, include a few minority players), but she’s a complete MORON for giving the skin color of this team any mention whatsoever.
There’s absolutely no evidence to indicate that the team discriminates against players who aren’t white. This chick’s take is pointless. It’s as pointless as saying that the majority of players have the same sized feet or something. IT DOESN’T FREAKING MATTER.
Besides that, would Barbour complain about the diversity of most professional basketball teams? The NBA has 75% minority representation. The WNBA has nearly 70% minority representation. Would she point out the lack of whiteness?
This is all just freaking stupid. Let the best players in each sport play and SHUT UP ALREADY.

She should look in a mirror – the british female reporters are too white also – where is the diversity in journalism? Google British female sports reporters and all but 1 was a white woman
She could see a team of all black players and still complain about the whiteness.
She’s a classic example of today’s job postings at the sports networks. “Intelligence desirable, but not required.”
Take a look at all the soccer teams around the world. Most of them are one ethnicity.
