The Nation, a publication which touts itself as “progressive press,” just published this absolute pile of steaming garbage as an article.
“The Herschel Walker Senate Campaign Is an Insult to Black People.”
Wow. They’re actually serious. Their subheading even says,
“Georgia Republicans have embraced Walker because they think any old Black person will do when it comes to their cynical strategy for defeating Raphael Warnock.”
Then they said,
“Herschel Walker, the football star turned Georgia Senate candidate, is an animated caricature of a Black person drawn by white conservatives. Walker is what they think of us, and they think we’re big, ignorant, and easily manipulated.”
Remember last year when the L.A. Times wrote a column titled,
“Larry Elder is the Black face of white supremacy. You’ve been warned.”
And theirs went on to say,
“Larry Elder smiled the smug smile of a Black conservative who could very well be liberal California’s next governor.”
Twitter let the hashtag “Uncle Tim” trend for hours after Sen. Tim Scott, a black conservative, gave his rebuttal to President Biden’s first joint sessions address, making reference to a hurtful racial slur.
Seriously? “Insult to black people.” “Any old black person will do.” “Black face of white supremacy.” “Smug smile of a black conservative.”
I know I shouldn’t be that shocked, because these racist “progressives” say disgusting things like this all the time, but I am honestly shocked that they are putting this in writing. I mean, WOW. Couldn’t POSSIBLY be that Herschel Walker is running for Senate and Georgia Republicans are supporting him because he has worked incredibly hard to get where he is, continues to work hard for the things he values, and the things he values are also things that Georgia Republicans value. Couldn’t POSSIBLY be that he’s driven and successful and dedicated. Couldn’t POSSIBLY be that he is the kind of man Georgia and this country want to see representing them because they trust his values and work ethic. No, it MUST be that he’s just part of a “cynical strategy” by white people to use “any old black person” to defeat an opponent because white people think he is just big, ignorant, and easy to manipulate. That’s how LITTLE these “progressives” think of successful, hardworking black conservative Americans. Do they even hear how disgustingly racist they sound when they say things like this? They would NEVER say this kind of thing about Kamala Harris, Cory Booker, Cori Bush, or Raphael Warnock. They would praise them for “overcoming,” for succeeding “despite.” They would NEVER call them an insult to black people, even though these individuals have made decisions that have had direct negative impacts on black Americans. I mean, Kamala Harris’ entire career is fraught with decisions and actions that had verifiably negative impacts on black Americans, and they would still never say this stuff about her. Because she thinks the “correct” way. She holds the “correct” views and belongs to the “correct” party. She’s the “correct” kind of black American. It’s honestly despicable and, quite frankly, disgustingly racist.
Apparently, black conservative Americans don’t count as black Americans. They don’t buy into the leftist narrative of victimhood. They don’t believe that the fabric of America is intrinsically racist and they don’t think we should tear everything down to “build back” racially segregated. They don’t believe that the color of one’s skin determines one’s entire identity or personhood. They don’t believe that the color of one’s skin automatically determines the course of one’s life. They don’t believe that people should be valued or rejected based on assumptions made based on the color of one’s skin.
They have different views, morals, and ideals. And to the radical left, anything different from them is bad, therefore they are bad. And it’s not enough to just be considered bad, you must be vilified as thoroughly as possible. Because you’re either actively with them or you’re a dangerous enemy who much be destroyed at all cost, even the cost of truth.
The sad part is that this isn’t actually what most black Americans think about fellow black Americans with differing views. This is just how the screaming radicals want you to think that black Americans think. Just like they wanted to make you think that most black Americans wanted to defund the police when that wasn’t even close to the truth. It’s just about their agenda, not the truth.
