I know the social media platforms don’t like for this simple fact to be acknowledged, but there are biological differences between men and women.
I can’t believe that’s a controversial statement, but apparently the party of science reeeeeeally doesn’t like it when you point that out.
Anyway, folks like JK Rowling and others have been all kinds of canceled for saying that out loud, but facts are facts. People with two X chromosomes, known back in the good ole days as “women” before everyone lost their freaking minds, have an organ in their bodies known as a uterus.
I no longer have such an organ, because mine was removed back in 2010, but I can assure you that when I was born, riiiiight up until the moment after surgery, I had one. And sometimes, as uteruses are known to do during the lifespan of women, it cramped.
Because when women’s hormones do their thing, one of the side effects is cramping. The part of the body that DOES that cramping is, in fact, the uterus.
So you can imagine my surprise when I saw this insane tweet from a transwoman:

What, praytell, is cramping, exactly?
Now, I’m not about to pretend that I have any idea what it feels like to be a dude taking female hormones along with testosterone blockers because I don’t have the first clue what that fees like. I don’t doubt for a moment that this individual is feeling discomfort from that, because a male body being bombarded with female hormones isn’t natural, and side effects have gotta be expected.
But I DO doubt that this person is experiencing the same sensations as biological women experience when they have period cramps, because no amount of hormones or T-blockers is going to give this person a uterus that cramps.
That’s just reality. I’m sorry, social media CEOs, but that’s not disinformation. It’s just science. Are we allowed to believe in that still or nah?
Just in case, I’m posting this with a thumbnail of my dog so it doesn’t set off the algorithm gods. 🙂
